CEASEFIRE! — in solidarity with Palestine

The staff of Page Not Found and Nest call for an immediate ceasefire in Gaza, to spare the lives of civilians, many among them children!

In solidarity, we invite you to our event on Friday 24 November, from 18:00, at Page Not Found, Boekhorststraat 126.

Donations collected at this occasion will be matched by Page Not Found and Nest (up to what our budgets allow) and given to the Medical Aid for Palestinians, along with that evening’s incomes.

Rosalind Nashashibi’s film “Electrical Gaza” will be screened, followed by an open poetry reading. You’re welcome to bring along a text or poem that gives you strength in these dark days, and share it with the audience.

In ‘Electrical Gaza‘ Rosalind Nashashibi combines her footage of Gaza, and the fixer, drivers and translator who were her constant company, with animated scenes. She presents Gaza as under a spell; isolated, suspended in time, difficult to access and highly charged. She shows us Gaza as she experienced it in the quiet pause before the onslaught of Israeli bombardment in the summer of 2014. Nashashibi travelled to Gaza with producer Kate Parker and cinematographer Emma Dalesman.

Commissioned by the Trustees of Imperial War Museum. Director of Photography: Emma Dalesman. Producer: Kate Parker.
